The Atom Exec on its own is an excellent and compact smart phone packed full of features. If you already own the original, it's not worth an upgrade, but otherwise, this comes highly recommended.

Small, lightweight design ; Push e-mail capabilities ; Pleasing performance ; Plethora of connectivity options ; Great multimedia features ; Matte finish

Lack of keyboard makes heavy data entry a chore ; Shots taken with the integrated camera are grainy ; No 3G support ; Not a huge improvement over the original Atom

While it's not a huge improvement over the original Atom, on its own the Atom Exec is an extremely attractive smartphone, more impressive than even our Editors' Choice winning HP iPAQ rw6828 due to its faster processor and O2 MediaPlus application.

As it stands, the Atom would be my pick of the devices currently reviewed if you are looking to upgrade today from an older WM2003 device, or are looking for your first Windows Mobile device to assist with your busy schedule. Current XDA Atom owners...
