Review: Logitech UE Mobile Boombox

If you're looking for something that closely matches the Jambox in portability and sound, but costs substantially less, this $100 boombox can't be beat.

Great sound for the size — dual 1-inch drivers inside this tiny box get mighty loud without getting too cruddy. Rubberized outer shell helps it stay put during playback, and you can pick from an array of colors. Works as a speakerphone. Battery charges...

Not much bass to speak of. Same with stereo separation. Logitech claims a 50-foot wireless range, but it’s closer to about 20

Logitech UE Boombox review

Not without sonic fault, but pretty good for the money

Simple pairing ; Sounds punchy and weighty

Not particularly light ; Battery life could be longer ; Not the clearest treble

Not completely without sonic fault, but still pretty good for the money

Logitech UE Boombox

If you like your low end, the $250 Logitech UE Boombox delivers a sculpted, bass-heavy response in a portable design. But this wireless speaker suffers from distortion at top volumes, and at this price, that shouldn't happen.

Quality wireless audio performance at moderate volumes. Portable and rechargeable. Simple, sleek design. Easy to set up.

Overpriced. Distorts on deep bass tracks at top volumes. Exaggerated bass response not for audiophiles.

Logitech UE Mobile Boombox

Last year, Logitech wowed us with its Mini Boombox , a tiny Bluetooth speaker that puts out surprisingly powerful sound and doubles as a speakerphone. It earned our Editors' Choice for portable Bluetooth speakers, so when Logitech announced a...

Tiny. Very portable. Inexpensive. Warm, clear sound. Solid speakerphone function

Bass could be stronger. Speakerphone, while clear, doesn't get particularly loud

You might find louder and sharper Bluetooth speakers than the Logitech UE Mobile Boombox, but you won't find a better all-around package close to its price.

Logitech UE Mobile Boombox: Tiny speaker gets an upgrade

Logitech's UE Mobile Boombox Bluetooth speaker sports an improved design and slightly better sound than last year's Mini Boombox -- for the same price.

The ; is a very compact Bluetooth speaker that has a built-in rechargeable battery, speakerphone capabilities, a line input, and ruggedized design. It sounds good for its tiny size.

The Mobile Boombox just can't produce a ton of bass.

Logitech Wireless Boombox

Inexpensive. Small and light. Solid wireless audio quality. Included 3.5mm cable makes it compatible with any audio device with a headphone jack.

Weak bass. Foot can vibrate with bass-heavy songs.

The $150 Logitech Wireless Boombox is a small, light battery-powered Bluetooth speaker system that lets you listen to your music sans wires anywhere with solid, if not powerful, sound.

Logitech UE Mobile Boombox

It won't rock any foundations, but the Mobile Boombox is a fine portable proposition

Excellent portability ; Long battery life ; Likeable design ; Listenable sound

Limited functionality ; Loses out to rivals for scale and authority

Logitech UE Mobile Boombox review

A small portable speaker that produces a surprisingly full sound

Good sound quality ; Easy to use ; Decent price ; Compact size

Mid-range could be clearer

This is one of the best sounding mobile speakers around, and compared to other mobile Bluetooth options, it's a decent price, too.
