No mention on ABT's site that B-Band connectors are needed for this item. It won't work without them. I had to purchase them on [@]. The item arrived very quickly and it was well packed.

Much faster response. No other difference on menus etc to the HR 21. Don't even try to purchase direct for Direct TV.... Abit is the way to go!!

Bought 2 to replace old non-HD Tivo's that we had for several years. We have had to learn the differences using the remotes from our old units, but very pleased with the features and quality of these. We had first ordered new DVR's from DirecTV but...

BEST DirecTV HD receiver yet! Brighter, clearer, sharper picture and WAY FASTER operation!!

The HR-24 is by far the best of the HR-2x product line. Menus are extremely fast in comparison to older products. The remote is much easier to setup then previous units.

Efficient, Fast

much better than the HR23 DVR I had. fast and quite. Only issue is there is no off-air, so I'm losing local shows. Local shows still have the Dolby sync issue, but it is better.
