A reasonable choice for the price, the Brother ImageCenter ADS-2400N document scanner offers several ways to scan, including via USB or Ethernet, directly to a USB key, and over a network access point to mobile devices.

Can scan directly to a USB memory key and through a Wi-Fi access point to mobile devices. Scans in duplex. Ethernet and USB. Excellent text recognition.

Slow for scanning to searchable PDF format. Scan utility offers only limited ability to choose scan profiles when starting scans from the front panel.

Conclusion The strongest argument for choosing the Brother ADS-2400N is that you need an inexpensive network scanner, want to scan to mobile devices, or both. Beyond that, its balance of speed, OCR capability, and included software make it a reasonable...
