Toshiba 65L9300U review

We'll stop short of recommending this television, but we can't deny it will be an appealing option for those looking at premium 1080p sets in the same price range.

A first-generation Ultra HD television purchase just doesn’t make sense, no matter the manufacturer. Since their introduction, standards have been settled on and new apps have been developed that will make accessing 4K content later this year a real...

Toshiba L9300U 4K TV: More pixels but less picture quality

The ; 4K/Ultra High Definition LED LCD TV has accurate color and can deliver its full motion resolution without smoothing; 3D sources shown with full HD resolution and all the benefits of passive 3D; 4K resolution provides some benefit with 4K PC...

Exceedingly expensive and a poor value compared with 1080p TVs and many 4K TVs; poor black level, uniformity, off-angle and bright-room performance; improvements afforded by 4K resolution are minimal to nonexistent; imprecise local dimming causes some...

Although its 3D deserves praise, overall the Toshiba L9300U is a worse performer and more expensive than its 4K competitors.

Toshiba 65L9300U

Toshiba's L9300U series is still for sale, though, at least in the 65-inch size we reviewed (the 58-incher is getting scarce), but you shouldn't buy it. It's more expensive than many other 2013 4K TVs and doesn't perform as well. In fact, despite its...

Toshiba 65L9300U: A 4K HDTV With HDMI 2.0 Support

With Ultra HD monitors becoming more prolific, we thought it was time to check out a 4K HDTV. Toshiba sent us its 65-inch L9300U LED panel. This TV offers 3D and cloud features in addition to a high pixel count. We put it through its paces in this review.

Toshiba 65L9300U Review – 65-inch LED HDTV

Like every gadget series, television also has a particular section of high end and luxurious sets. Although a lot of brands deal in top tier models, the important part is to actually meet the calibrations successfully. Loaded with innumerable features...

Solid 4k set

Resolution is great although there aren't many systems out there that support 4k, so the TV ends up umpsampling 1080p sources. It does a good job with this, although I see what looks like some graininess or noise.
